I want to write the formula below in latex, but how can I write this in latex?

Where abs mean absolute value of numeric data.

mean(abs(a-b))/mean(abs(a))

will this do?

$\dfrac{\overline{|a-b|}}{\overline{|a|}}$

How do you know that it is the absolute value and I don't see a mean?
$|x|$ is the absolute value of $x$ I don't know any other way to write it.

The only symbol I know of for the mean of a random quantity is the overbar.
Do you know of something different?

If you really want to be clear I'd write it as

$\dfrac{E[~|a-b|~]}{E[~|a|~]}$
