How do I find the minimum of this function? $f(x)=\frac{x^2}{8}+x\cos{x}+\cos2x$
Solution is -1.

Thanks!

Hint: $x^2/8 + x\cos(x) + \cos(2x) = -1 + (x + 4\cos(x))^2/8$.
