For the function y=3cos(2x - 8 )-5, determine the phase shift and the period of the corresponding graph. 5. Given the g(x) = asin(b(x-c))+d. Determine the values of a and d, given that the range of g(x) is -5 ≥y ≥10. 7. Given that f(x) = 2cos(3(x-4))+k, determine all possible values of k for which y=f(x) will have no x intercepts. Amplitude = $a$ Period, $T= \dfrac{2\pi}{b}$ Horizontal shift = $c$ ... right if $c<0$, left if $c>0$ Phase shift = $\phi$ Vertical shift = d ... upward if $d>0$, downward if $d<0$. Note that $y=d$ is also called the "midline" of the graph. Now try to answer each question using the above information ...
