Newbie Joined: Sep 2015 From: USA Posts: 1 Thanks: 0  Solving Haversine Formula For Longitude And Latitude
Hi all, I would like to find all the Longitudes and Latitudes of all the places that are within a 10 mile radius from a point whose Longitude and Latitude is known. I have looked at the Haversine Formula below but it doesn't help. R = 3961 mi dlon = lon2  lon1 dlat = lat2  lat1 a = (sin(dlat/2))^2 + cos(lat1) * cos(lat2) * (sin(dlon/2))^2 c = 2 * atan2( sqrt(a), sqrt(1a) ) d = R * c (where R is the radius of the Earth) The reason it doesn't help is because I am left with 2 unknowns instead of just 1. The unknowns are lon2 and lat2 which I was hoping to determine by solving for either one of them. Please help me solve for all the lon2 and all the lat2. Thanks in advance for your help.
