Need Information about metric (distance) !

Hey, I'm looking for information (definitions, traits(?), theorems etc. ) about many metrics like "Euclidean distance", "Manhattan distance", "Discrete metric", "Carnot - Caratheodary metrics " and others (need more).

Is there some place (in internet) where are much information about these and other metrics. Maybe somebody has reports or smth like that about metric.

Thank you for your answer!
