However in zylo's case it isn't going to work. He starts with the assumption that the cardinality of the reals is the same as the cardinality of the integers and then goes on to give flawed arguments defending his position. This is not a case of "unconventional thinking" it is a case of him not listening to any member that pokes holes in his arguments and that he ignores the literature on the subject. That's the beef I have with him...It's not that he is stuck on an incorrect answer. Let him post as much as he likes. Let him make as many mistakes as he makes. It's not the subject that's the problem it's that he refuses to listen to members who are trying to help him. That's on the cardinality arguments. Otherwise he seems to fully understand any other topic and IMHO is a good member on the site. Dan Last edited by topsquark; February 21st, 2018 at 01:55 AM.

You prevent me from explaining myself and then you accuse me of not being clear. What kind of organisation are you?

If someone posts something controversial that is wrong, unclear or illdefined, I would suggest that asking for clarification should take priority over, say, posting some alternative that is then debated, thereby lengthening the thread, whilst leaving the original statements unclarified.
