2 balls 3 cells

lets say 2 balls, 3 cells and each cell can have up to 2 balls, options are:

b- ball
e- empty

b|b|e
b|e|b
e|b|b
bb|e|e
e|bb|e
e|e|bb

total of 6 options. but how can I calculate it with big numbers...?

I don't have an answer for you yet but I believe the solution can be found at this
wiki page

$T$ in this case is $\{k:k \in \mathbb{Z} \wedge 0\leq k < n\}$
