Hi all, What is the formula to the number of option to arrange n balls in m cells, when each cell can hold up to x balls (x<n)? thanks!

lets say 2 balls, 3 cells and each cell can have up to 2 balls, options are: b ball e empty bbe beb ebb bbee ebbe eebb total of 6 options. but how can I calculate it with big numbers...?
