 May 30th, 2011, 03:46 AM #1 Newbie   Joined: Apr 2011 Posts: 8 Thanks: 0 probability function Hello, I've got the next question:If there are 3 balls and I put them in boxes in a random way,indepedenttly every one, considering the aleatory variable X= number balls on first box, which is the table of probability function X?? Thanks anyway

(q=1-p). (Pk = prob(X=k)). P0 = q^3 P1 = 3pq^2 P2 = 3p^2q P3 = p^3 You will have to specify p, which could depend on the number of boxes.
