1. State the domain and range of the graph y=√x 3. a) Given that f(x) =√x, state the transformation that would need to be applied to y=f(x) in order to create the graph of y+3=2f(1/2(x+5)) b) State the domain and range of y+3=2f(1/2(x+5))

What is the domain of a function? What is the range of a function? How do those two definitions help you answer the first question?
