 March 26th, 2017, 06:52 AM #2 Global Moderator   Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 17,150 Thanks: 1282 For the function to be real, √(25 - x²) $\small\geqslant$ 3, so 25 - x² $\small\geqslant$ 9. That's equivalent to x² $\small\leqslant$ 16, which means that the domain is [-4, 4].
