The centripetal acceleration the plane experiences is 14.7 m/s2. If it takes the pilot 45.0 seconds to complete the loop, what is the radius of the loop?  October 9th, 2017, 04:54 AM #2 Senior Member   Joined: Apr 2014 From: Glasgow Posts: 2,155 Thanks: 731 Math Focus: Physics, mathematical modelling, numerical and computational solutions Circular motion: Centripetal acceleration: $\displaystyle a = \frac{v^2}{r}$ $\displaystyle v = r \omega$ and $\displaystyle \omega = \frac{2 \pi}{t}$ Therefore $\displaystyle a = \frac{4 \pi^2 r}{t^2}$ Rearrange that equation for $\displaystyle r$ and solve.
