That is only true if there are an infinite number of things to know.

But we don't know whether there are or not.

Infinities can be constructed , the Natural numbers are infinite so Popper was right in assuming there are an infinite number of things to know ... in this example , an infinite number of Natural numbers whose cardinality is $\aleph_0$

I don't think I need to tell you that higher infinities exist ... uncomputable numbers exist ...
