What will a spring scale read for the weight of a 73- woman in an elevator that moves downward with acceleration of 0.30 ?

Re: Physics help please!!!

Add the acceleration a of the elevator to that of gravity.

For the first, a = 0, for the second a = -0.30, for the third, a = -g.

This should be fairly simple if F = mg is understood.
