1 )) Type the four points about how magnetic field is created ? I try :: 1 - the core solid rotate E to W 2 - the liquid above the core solid rotate W to E , w 3 - then the magnetic field is created . 2 )) Why Jupiter rotates faster than earth hence its field is more &Venus’s fieldis less 3 )) Can earth be considered as permanent magnet even though its core possess iron ore? |

For questions like these, I post links because they require a small bit of research to be done to get a clear, concise answer. For Q3, we can say that the source of the Earth's magnetic field cannot be large masses of permanently magnetized material. The Earth does have large depostis of iron ore deep beneath its surface, but the high temperatures in the Earth's core prevent the iron from retaining any permanent magnetization. It is considered more likely that the true source is charge-carrying convection currents in the Earth's core. Charged ions or electrons circling in the liquid interior could produce a magnetic field. There is also strong evidence to indicate that the strength of a planet's field is related to the planet's rate of rotation. For example, Jupiter rotates faster than the Earth, and recent space probes indicate that Jupiter's magnetic field is about 10 times stronger than ours. Venus, on the other hand, rotates more slowly than the Earth, and its magnetic field is found to be weaker. |
