I'll admit that I don't see the Bible as a truly historical source but I do like it for the morality it expresses.

So, HEY!

Hmmm ... name one. For sake of conversation. Certainly not globalism, that's turned out to be terribly immoral. What is the best moral authority today, if any?

I confess I'm not well read enough on that topic to offer any recommendations. The nature of the topic itself doesn't make it any easier to assess either... These are, after all, philosophical questions that have puzzled us for centuries.

I was mostly getting at the fact that given all the supposedly 'immoral' things in the bible, it might not be the best source.

Those were different times. I'm not talking about that sort of thing. I'm talking about passages relating to how to live your life in worship to Him.

I'm not looking for an argument..my faith is my faith and I feel no need to defend it. Sorry if I rattled a few cages by saying so.

Merci pour le compliment:

blas-phe-my
[blas-fuh-mee]

noun, plural blasphemies.
b.pronunciation of the Tetragrammaton (YHVH) in the original, now forbidden manner instead of using a substitute pronunciation such as Adonai.

No no, I know you would not want to argue with me on that subject, I would never wish that on someone, especially if I actually prepared myself for debate.

So no I am not looking for an argument all of that sort of thing gets pushed aside when it comes to mathematics in my rule book
