also I have a pretty picture to add additional meaning to post

It's clearly not worth noting carefully at all

ok archie its not as interesting as your ideas you are right its just a random array of symbols i printed just as all of my posts are

My meaning was that since you can't remember why the function should be in any way something to note carefully, it can't be all that worth noting. If it were worth noting, you'd have remembered.

i did not arrive at the above function via any form of random parameter analysis, it arose after quite an extensive calculation involving the zeta function on the complex plane, and if something strikes me as significant ill normally share something about it. I can remember the exact circumstance because i just study these kind of things all day, every day, and I'm unemployed so yes i mean literally all day. I can put up a graph for anyone sincerely interested in number theory and my general advice. almost everything in number theory relates to the zeta. its pointless to bother explaining further ill probably misphrase something it will allow you to paint me as an idiot and besides, you have already made it clear that my work isn't of any interest to other mathematicians ... hmmmk? Personally I don't think this is an argument about the possible importance of your findings or your credibility or what you can and can't remember or your employment status. It's simply an argument of why create a new thread about something you don't pose any sort of question or statement for. People on this forum won't respond well to you just blurting out your thoughts or some seemingly arbitrary function or idea. Give it purpose and meaning without expecting others to find the significance themselves. |

As an aside, I disagree that the Zeta function is important in almost all of number theory. It is an important functions, but I think it is important in very little number theory. It is more important in Analysis, but even then not in a very large part of analysis. Last edited by v8archie; May 5th, 2016 at 07:22 AM. | |||
