PERMUTATION

CRGeathouse

HI I hope you are good, so I guess we have two different results, my permutation result of 4661 is 7,3,6,1,5,2,4
So now I really don't how it comes I have figure it out by Notepad ++...
And thank you for trying... So I guess I need a formula for this one, but however I have send an e - mail to my
teacher 2 weeks ago for the formula and I have no answer from him, I guess I have to do it somehow...
once again thank you.

Re: PERMUTATION

There are different ways to order the permutations -- I suppose ways in all for 7 things. PARI/GP uses one standard system but I guess your teacher wants another.

Re: PERMUTATION

Feel free to play with the GP function I indicated to see if you can find how the two are related. I don't have time at the moment.
