I fill stupid for asking this but...

I really just don't know how to look this up what do the little twos mean like this: A=X² please tell me?

x² = x*x

Read it "x squared".

"A equals x squared"
"A is the same number as x times x"

are you perhaps having the equation of the area of a square, where the length of a side is x?
