shear stress

Hi Guys

Am stuck on a question which i thought i figured the answer for but came back wrong.

The relationship between Shear Stress (σ) and direct stress (σx and σy) was found to be of the form;

σ= (σx - σy)sin e (20)
...........2

the dots so i could move the two directly under the fraction....thats all

Find the value of the direct stress (σy) when the value of the shear stress (σ) is 25 MNm-2, the value of (σx) is 80 MNm-2 and the value of the angle of the plane (θ) to the horizontal is 25°.
