Hey guys help me with this easy problem please. Find the equation of the line with slope 3 and passing through the point (2,3). Write your answer in standard form.

This should be in the "algebra, geometry, etc." subforum, but: The line has slope 3, which means y = 3x +b, for all values of x and some value of b. So, we plug in our point for x and y: 3 = (3)(2) + b (you should solve tis for practice before looking below) 3 = 6 + b b = 3 Now, we have the equation: y=3x+3 But, we want it in standard form, so the constant is the only thing on the right side; so, we subtract 3x: y3x=3 And we're done. Cheers
