 August 10th, 2012, 07:28 AM #1 Senior Member   Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 140 Thanks: 0 Maths papers If we read most maths papers, like for examples say Andrew wiles on elliptic modular curves on the journals of Annals of mathematics, what type of font are those papers written in? Like can you find it on microsoft word? Basically what kind of font are most maths papers written in? i mean it wont be in say "arial black, or calibri"? right? thank you

I don't think they write math papers on Microsoft word! And for the paper of wiles, it is just a digitalized copy of the original paper, not written in any word typing software.

Some times papers use Adobe Caslon and Garamond pro bold. Most of those papers use Times new roman in Italics.
