Hey everyone. I am new to the board and just wanted to say hi. A little about me: I am a 25 year old pilot who was looking for something to do while burning holes in the sky. I studied math for my undergrad degree and decided to come back to it for leisure while in the air. I have started going through my old college books trying to relearn everything and hopefully start moving on to some new studies after that. My current interests are number theory and various geometries. I really have no practical purpose for this, the problems are just usually more interesting and challenging than doing sudoku while flying. I'm looking forward to learning with you all. Take care, hcir614

Welcome! I hope to see you in our Number Theory forum. Any particular interests within that field? Primes, Diophantine equations, etc..... As for geometries, I remember my Euclidean & NonEuclidean class well enough that I could engage in some meaningful discussion, of, say, the Poincaré disk but don't expect too much from me. Of course if you get into complex analysis there's the Riemann sphere which is pretty neat.
