What is the history of gambling? What is the oldest game of gambling? And what is [for this forum] the mathematical game [except gambling] that was the first? Thank for responding for me to this post!!! You are welcome!!! Last edited by skipjack; December 1st, 2017 at 01:01 PM.

It is, of course, impossible to say what was the first gambling game but it is likely to have involved rolling small bones and betting on how they wind up. What, exactly, do you mean by "mathematical game"? What makes a game "mathematical"?

I ask it in another way: Is there a mathematical "game" [or something that can be call a game] before the Sudoku?

mathematical game = what the historians call a game that involve mathematics? If I think on it, the abacus is the one that I can called a "mathematical game" in some condition, not?

I'm familiar with "X's and O's" which is a logic game, as is Sudoku.
