Ah , so it is a variant of the Fibbonacci Sequence mod 5 , taking different starting values mod 5 with the first two terms equal. Very nice!
So the starting values are
but you switched positions of 2 2 , 3 3 and 4 4.
One of the things i tried (after reading about the pentatonic scale online) was to let G = 1 or G = 6 but alas it did not occur to me to shift the numerical values of the notes.
P.S. This is the way the Q & A should be IMHO. The question poster posts the answer after about a day , unless more time is asked for in which case an additional day is given , this way we don't have to wait weeks before we get a new question.
