Hello! Can someone please recommend a good maths textbook for graph theory? Specifically, I'm interested in a reference text which starts from fundamental basics, such as the graph elements (vertices, edges, etc.), moves onto more interesting/difficult stuff, like derived properties of graphs and solutions to problems, and then finishes off with applications of graph theory and solution methods to interesting real world problems. I'm a physicist, so anything friendly to undergraduates or recent postgraduate students is probably required, otherwise I'll be spending ages trying to figure out walls of text. I've had a look on Google but there's so many textbooks available that it's a bit daunting to choose one. Ta!

I also meant to add that the Open University does a splendid set of course booklets for its course MT365 Graphs, Networks and Design. These can sometime be found second hand.
