Hi, I am a university student, and I want to significantly improve my mathematical skills. I take the usual courses of calculus, differential equations, linear algebra, etc. But since I want to apply to a scholarship, I want to be better than average, and be able to tackle exams such as the GRE Math/Physics, etc. I consider mathematical olympics to be a good start, so if you know anything about this please guide me. Also, if you have any general advice on topics I should know, how to be faster, etc, please tell me. Thank you.

I think the author is Paul Zeist (not sure about the first name). It's not only a book filled with problems from a variety of areas, but also strategies and things to look out for when problem solving. Note that it's important to note the difference between problems and exercises. This book is filled with problems.
