You're looking for a, b, c with: (2, 4, 3) = a(1, 2, 5) + b(2, 3, 0) + c(0, 1, 1) This generates the equations: 2 = a + 2b 4 = 2a 3b +c 3 = 5a + c Can you finish the solution from there?
