A.grandmother B.mother C.daughter D.granddaughter. I'm needing an equation to solve this. Is there such an equation? Grateful for your help! Jamie Lee

This isn't possible as stated using the usual definitions.

Teresa's daughter is my daughter's mother. Therefore I had a daughter with Teresa's daughter. Therefore, unless some sort of artificial insemination is going on and there is an unknown father, I am the father of Teresa's daughter's daughter. Thus I am male.

All the choices given are females.

What I am to Teresa is her son in law.

It is a trick question because, in English. a speaker does not usually identify herself (or himself) by name but by the proper inflection of the gender-less pronoun I.

If Theresa is the mother of Sally who is the mother of Roberta and "I" am Sally, then Sally can truthfully say "I, Sally, am Theresa's daughter, and Roberta is my daughter. In other words, Theresa is my mother."

EDIT: Another way to think this through is to say that if I have a daughter then I am either a father or a mother. And my daughter's mother is is the daughter of Theresa. So if I am a mother, then Theresa is my mother. If I am a father, then Theresa is my mother-in-law, but that choice is not available so I am not a father.

STUPID PROBLEM
