 February 1st, 2011, 09:29 PM #1 Newbie   Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 5 Thanks: 0 A simplification problem.. Hi all. can anyone help me to simplify this term to solve for r. -7.88 *( r^2)*ln r + 0.003863 * ( r^2 ) - 0.81 ln r + 1.974 = 0 Thanks and regards;

If you need only find the value for r then you can apply one of many numerical methods to locate the values of r which cause the expression to be true. This isn't particularly difficult to just guess and check answers and try to find the zero that way.
