Hello, how do I write algebraic fractions using symbols? I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO POST A THREAD BUT THERE HAVE BEEN NO BREAK THROUGH: Simplify /frac{m+n}{2}frac{mn}{3} + 3(m1) The expression should read m+n over 2 minus mn over 3 plus 3(m1) I need help please.

In general \ is used to indicate what follows is a special symbol of some sort.

I rightclicked and copied and pasted formula code in this post and this is what I got: \displaystyle \frac{m+n}{2}\frac{mn}{3} + 3(m1) Is there a latex tutorial somewhere? Thanks

But that raises another question. Can I create a LATEX document elsewhere and then post it? Thanks
