Re-parsing older posts for LaTeX

I just finished re-parsing the posts in an older topic that was bumped so that the LaTex was presented, and found I had to make a change to each post in order for it to work. Is there a simpler method? Most posts had a typo I could correct, so that was an easy choice, but some folks posts have no typos and I hate to make any change to them!

Re: Re-parsing older posts for LaTeX

You can just click "edit", leave the post intact, and "click" submit, I guess. It will be notified as "post changed" in your mod.panel. Could you tell me if it worked?

I tried that first, but unless I made an actual change to the posts, they remained the way they were.

That was my experience as well. (Very possibly we tried it on the same post.)

Thanks guys, for reparsing the LateX, (I just noticed which topic you probably spoke of) I hope, it was worth your effort

It was definitely worth the effort! It only took a few minutes, and it looks so much better that way, and is easier to read and understand. I was simply wondering for future reference if there was a way to do it without actually making an edit.

Yes, but it involves eye of newt and the blood of a virgin.
