help on Geometry, prism

Area of a four-sided prism is = 8 m2, and the diagonal is = 3m. Find the volume.

If it measures x m by x m by y m, x + x + y = 3 = 9.

Can you give its area in terms of x and y? As the area is given as 8 m, you would then have two equations that can be solved to give specific values for x and y. The volume can then be calculated as xy m.
