A room measuring 3.5m by 4.2m by 2.4m high is to be painted. All surfaces except the floor are to be painted. How many square meters of surface are to be painted, to one decimal place? please help?

really? 2 walls are (3.5m x 2.4m) 2 walls are (4.2m x 2.4m) the ceiling is (3.5m x 4.2m) multiply... add... you can do it!

You mean like this: (3.5m × 2.4m) + (4.2m × 2.4m) + (3.5m × 4.2m) = ? Last edited by skipjack; May 20th, 2019 at 12:12 AM.

you mean like that 2(3.5)(2.4) + 2(4.2)(2.4) + (3.5)(4.2) = 51.66 ?
