Fibonacci spiral fit

The TV program "God Friended Me," shows ten or so events on a map to fit "amazingly" onto a Fibonacci spiral.

Given a reasonable error, is such a result randomly unusual, also given the choice of spiral?

If I can pick the events you can pick the spiral. Just travel along the spiral and find interesting things that happened in the various locations you pass through. Then when you tell the story, you spin a narrative to connect or relate the events ... then you plot them on a map ... and look! They're all on the exact same spiral! Not as amazing as it looks.

Which reminds me, I can predict the direction of the stock market each day for the next ten days with perfect accuracy. I get a mailing list of 1024 investors with money to burn. I send half of them a note saying the market will go up tomorrow. The other half I tell that it will go down. (One side or the other gets ties). After one day half the people will have seen me make one prediction in a row. Keep going like that. After 10 days there's one single investor who's just seen me make ten correct predictions in a row. I sell him an expensive subscription to my prediction service. Then I leave town before he realizes he's been had.
