Senior Member Joined: Nov 2010 From: Indonesia Posts: 1,522 Thanks: 120 Math Focus: Trigonometry and Logarithm  When I was a college student, my professor gave us a multiple choice quiz in which we must show our reasoning in the adjacent column provided. I didn't understand some steps for a few questions, so I used trial and error and wrote that I substituted the value in each options and chose the one which matched. It was acceptable by the professor albeit not worth the full credit.
