Posts: 3 Thanks: 0 Ciecunferência - Circumference Given the equation x ^ 2 + by ^ 2 = c, where a, b and c are real not nulls, it is true that its graphical representation is: a) circumference, if a = b b) hipérbol, if a = b and c = b c) the center of the ellipse at the origin, the 3 # b and c = 1 d) circumference, if a = c and b> 0 Desde já , obrigado! did you mean $ax^2+by^2=c$ ?

by "circumference", do you mean a circle?

This is clearly a conic sections question, so I'm guessing they may call an equation of a circle an equation of a circumference in Brazil...
