Geometry Program

Hello Everybody, first post
For a research project I have to calculate a few geometric things which are very hard to do on paper. To give everybody an idea of what I mean, I need to find the distance between two interceptions of an ellipse with a circle. That distance is on the circumference on the ellipse. I also need to know the distance that the ellipse's circumference is away from the circle's center at any given point.
Does anybody know what kind of program would be best to use for this sort of application? It doesn't have to be free...
Sincerely,
David.

Re: Geometry Program

Hi david,

a problem similar, but with polygons, was using some of these software :

diagram software (Sketchpad) is a vector geometry program so it's fairly accurate for playing about with this problem.

That's just the distance between two given points, which is not hard at all.
