Hi, how can I manipulate the question, 1/C= 1/2, to gain a simple answer of a figure I can write in farads?

$\frac{1}{C}=\frac{1}{2} \implies C=2$ Is there more to this question you haven't posted? Last edited by skipjack; March 14th, 2015 at 11:12 PM.

What you give, 1/C= 1/2, unless there is more to this that you did not tell us, involves just numbers without any units so there no way to assert that anything about "farads" or any other units. As far as the "mathematics" is concerned, multiplying each side of the equation by 2C, you have C= 2. IF C is a capacitance, measured in farads, then you would have C= 2 farads. But you don't say that!
