ratios here1 Attachment(s) Hi, I'm new here. I did physics at uni and I'm writing some physics books. They involve a wide range of maths and hope to ask questions here. My first question however may seem a bit silly but I would appreciate answers. I've included a photo of two rectangles. Could people tell me what they get for the ratio of the widths? And then what they get for the ratio of the lengths? Attachment 4997 |

Strange request. I get the ratios of the widths as about 1.08 and lengths as about 1.22, using the pixels as shown. I did not attempt to transform the image to account for the finite perspective and skew (though I did match sides when taking ratios). |

Strange request - I know. I've come across this bonkers internet group (like that sort of thing is hard to find :)) that are making wild and crazy claims to do with projective geometry. By answering this question you are helping to disprove their nonsense - they wont listen to me. |
