How to solve this

Hello sir
How to solve this

(1+a/b)^x = z/y

 skipjack December 12th, 2018 12:14 AM

For which variable?

 VRTTWETET December 12th, 2018 12:22 AM

Hello sir
How to solve variable x

 skipjack December 12th, 2018 12:44 AM

x = ln(z/y)/ln(1 + a/b)

Hello sir
Then what to do next step after natural log

 idontknow December 12th, 2018 02:28 AM

Just add the logarithm to both sides

 VRTTWETET December 12th, 2018 03:19 AM

x = ln(z/y)/ln(1 + a/b)

how to remove log ln

 greg1313 December 12th, 2018 03:33 AM

$\displaystyle x=\log_{1+\frac ab}\left(\frac zy\right),\quad\frac ab>0$

You later posted "how to remove log ln".
You can use a logarithm with a logarithmic base of your choice, but you can't solve without using a logarithm. What logarithmic base would you find acceptable?

Hello sir
How it is solved
how the power are transferred

(1+r/12)^6×5662=5774

(1+r/12)^6=5774/5662

1+r/12=(5774/5662)^1/6
