Why 40 million ? why not just 40?

Income of two companies A and B are in the ratio 5:8. Had the income of company A been more by Rs 25 million, the ratio of their income would have been 5:4 respectively. What is the income of company B?

A) Income of two companies A and B = 5: 8
→ 5X : 8X
New ratio after adding 25 million = 5X/8X + 25 = 5/4
→ (X+5)/2X = 1
→ X = 5
Substitute X value in 8X to get income of company B → 5*8 = 40 million

Here in last step; 5*8 is 40, but answer is 40 million. How so?

If company A has income of Rs 5X and company B has income of Rs 8X,
(5X + 25 million)/(8X) = 5/4, which implies X + 5 million = 2X, and so X = 5 million.

Hence company B has income of Rs 8X = Rs 8*5 million = Rs 40 million.
