As the OP did not post back asking for help and/or clarification, I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that they understood what has been posted. Text books provide worked examples; why can't we?

MMBt, it is not your place to tell other users what they should and should not post. You are not an admin.
The fact that I am not an administrator is irrelevant. My input is valuable as a contributor, because I bother to help as a tutor.

You should have bothered to state something 15 days ago, *not* wait until now! You should not encourage all members to post freely. That's dumb.
They should be selective. People who want answers just given to them without showing an attempt are lazy, and members should not be enablers.
"Should" is a suggestion. It is not an order. Veteran members advise others often.
It should be an insult to have to explain that to you.

Please, the trolling needs to stop. New users get so put off by this sort of thing.
Feign outrage much? You don't know what trolling is. Please get on about your own business.

The posters I seek at that time were the ones who desperately looked for answers without showing any works and had some deadlines.
I just wanted to test my math skills and their procrastination was the perfect sacrifice for it.
They shouldn't have procrastinated then. And, it's likely they were trying to have members do graded assignments for them.

It's an odd question. Perhaps I have misunderstood your usage of "a priori", although I did look it up to check the meaning.
I was thinking a bit more generically. Something along the lines of "We define pi = C/d, and that makes it irrational because...."

Perhaps it's just a silly question. The proofs were nice, though. Thanks for posting them.

I haven't read them all, but I expect that most have an element of proof by contradiction. But they aren't as simple as similar proofs for $\sqrt2$ or even $e$.

Beer soaked ramblings follow.

I do so love it when you dish out sermons here and there every so often MMBT!
I really get a kick out of your hgh blood pressure induced blabber.
Please Sir or is it Madam, can we have some more?
Given that you once "pulled" Elizabeth's (female moderator at Free Math Help) hair for mocking your "staggered" manner of posting, maybe it's more proper that we should address you as Madam MMBT since only a woman would take the time to argue with another woman.
Be that as it may, I renew my call for you to have a very strong drink whilst thou art roaming hereabouts; you'll thank me later. It might even kill that bug that you have up your ass.
Thanks from Denis, romsek and Joppy
