Equation with x on both sides

I am stuck on some algebra here. This is the very last step in a chemistry problem I am solving, and now I see that my old friend algebra has paid me a visit to remind me that I have massive gaps in my math knowledge... How would I go about this? I tried many different ways, but I always end up with x's canceling which is bizarre.

0.0350 = (x) / (x+4990)

0.0350(x+4990)=x
0.0350 (times)4990=x(1-0.0350)

You do the arithmetic.

Was just coming back in to say I figured it out! Thanks anyway!
