How do I calculate this? The answer is the fourth option d) but I don't know how to get to it, I just can't get it right. A manufacturer's supply equation is p=log(1000+q), with q the number of units supplied at price p. The number of units supplied if the price is $5 is: a) 2 b) 100 c) 99 997 d) 99 000

First put in 5 for p Then use both sides of the equation as an exponent with base 10 Which simplifies by inspection to 100 000 = 1000 + p One more step and you're done.
