Here are the rules It has to follow: The date has to fit for a 9 payment series over a 10 month period There is a 20 day +- grace period 1 month can have 0 payments I am not sure if this can be solved with a formula.

You are not sure if WHAT can be solved?
What does "+-" mean?
"grace period" means no interest charged?

The way you word the question, it is possible for the 9 payments to be made
on the last 9 days of the 10 month period...
