Finally able to figure out your messy problem; 601.51 is correct. Sales: 11,068.00  488.65 = 10,579.35 .07(10,579.35  5000.00) = 390.55 Earnings before deductions = 480.00 + 390.55 = 870.55 Fica, medicare, disability, state = 6.2 + 1.45 + 1 + 3.4 = 12.05% 870.55  .1205(870.55) = 765.65 Federal charged on 870.55  140.38 = 730.17 Federal tax (per table) = 80.60 + .25(730.17  696.00) = 89.14 NET PAY = 765.65  89.14  75.00 = 601.51 Apologies to "the computer"
