Finding the Capital Market Line

I've been completely stuck on this problem. It's out of a Mathematics for Finance book that is complete garbage but was unfortunately assigned by my professor.

Please help!

Use quadratic formula to get:

u = [23 +- SQRT(880a^2 - 87)] / 132

Hope that helps.....
