Hi, Can someone tell me where the 140% came from. Thanks in advance for your time. Question Following a merger, the targets are combined for each retail operation, with 5% added to each target for each staff member that works in the combined retail operation. Which combined retail operation has a sales target of £119,000. For example combined sales target for a internet a retail operation is = 85,000 combined no of employees is = 8 Then to calculate the increased sales target based upon the combined number of employees... Answer 85, 000 * 140% = 119,000. Where did the 140% come from?

CRGreathouse, I am getting answer of 100 + 8 * 5 = 540, or 100 + 8 = 108. 108 * 0.05 = 5.4. 5.4 + 108 = 113.4. Could you clarify your answer?
