Game Theory-Prisoner Dilemma

Why do I have to check just two deviations (a)at t; b) at t and t+1) in order to find the NE in an infinetely repeated Prisoner Dilemma? Why are others deviations (i.e. at t,t+1,t+2) redundant? What is the difference with the SPNE? Is the first mover advantage subgame perfect in the same game?
