I don't know a name for the connector, but I think it's provided on some video cards.

A Google search suggests that the Hynix h5ps5162ffr is a DDR2 SDRAM chip.

It's RAM, so it stores data. Given that the connector is a DMS-59, the data being stored will be graphics related.
